This Privacy Policy explains how edugaa ("edugaa," "we," "us") collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you use our website and application (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up we collect your name, email address, and — if you sign in with Google — the profile details Google shares with us.
Learning content. Topics you enter, courses and quizzes generated for you, your progress, scores, and tutor conversations.
Uploaded files. Documents you upload to generate a course are processed to create your content.
Payment information. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details; we retain only a customer identifier and your plan status.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide and personalize the Service, generate your courses and quizzes, operate the AI tutor, process payments, respond to support requests, and keep the Service secure. We do not sell your personal information.

AI processing

edugaa uses Google's Gemini models to generate learning content and power the tutor. The topics, prompts, and uploaded content you submit are sent to this provider solely to produce your results, subject to their applicable terms.

Service providers

We share data only with the vendors that run our Service: Supabase (authentication and database), Stripe (payments), Google (AI and sign-in), and Vercel (hosting). Each processes data only to perform services for us.

Data retention & your rights

We keep your data while your account is active. You may access, correct, or delete your data at any time from Settings, including deleting your account, which removes your associated content. Depending on your location you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.

Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit and row-level access controls so users can only access their own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
